흐름 (heureum) — flow, the movement through a space, the passage from one room to the next. The console is the piece you pass every time you enter and every time you leave. It should be worth passing.
The Heureum starts from a single honest surface. A slab of Calacatta marble, Nero Marquina, Travertine, solid walnut, or solid oak. The top is the statement — the base is what gives it lift. A solid wood structure, a matte black flat-bar steel frame, or a clean plinth, depending on the character of the hallway or room it sits in.
Length, depth, and height are all specified in consultation. A lower shelf can be included or omitted. The base profile is drawn and reviewed before build. No standard lengths. No standard profiles. The Heureum is made once and exists nowhere until you ask for it.
Its job is to be noticed when guests arrive — and forgotten when they sit down. A piece that serves its room without competing with it.
