기품 (gipum) — grace, dignity, bearing. The way a person carries themselves in a room. That is what this sofa is designed to project.
The standard sofa is designed for a standard living room. Fixed depth, fixed arm height, fixed configuration, a choice of three fabrics. The Gipum starts from the opposite direction — tell us how you sit, how many people use the sofa, whether you read on it, sleep on it, or entertain on it. Then we build.
Seat depth, arm height, back cushion firmness — all specified in consultation. The base can be a solid plinth in lacquered wood, a raw steel frame, or tapered solid oak legs. Upholstery is from our full fabric and leather library, or sourced specifically on request.
The Gipum is modular. Two-seat, three-seat, L-shaped, with or without a chaise. The configuration is decided by you and drawn by our designers before anything is cut or sewn. No standard parts. No assembly-line shortcuts. Every seam is hand-finished.
